Route Assumptions
The source pack confirms fourteen main region steps and also lists additional locations such as Shrine of Ancestors and Mirror Chamber. This walkthrough treats Shrine of Ancestors and Mirror Chamber as story or backtracking locations rather than numbered main route steps, because the requested route is fourteen regions.
| Step | Region | Route Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Origin Laboratory | Kisha wakes up; life support device, sealed doors, and the first tutorial structure |
| 2 | Upper Origin Laboratory | Early vertical expansion above the main lab |
| 3 | Lower Moss Cave | Jibanam forest-gone-wrong notes and water relevance |
| 4 | Strigine Quarry | Wind updrafts and the Gale Warning reach achievement |
| 5 | Black Canyon | Dark mud, Imprint School, and Into the Darkness achievement context |
| 6 | Elord Castle | Major hub with lower and upper sections; Golden Castle achievement |
| 7 | Higasha Tundra | Frozen biome and Frozen Boundary achievement |
| 8 | Tenshukaku Interior | Branches from Higasha Tundra and connects to Enma territory |
| 9 | Wolf Gate | Story barrier before Tenshukaku Interior |
| 10 | Jayma’s Dungeon | Prison of the Forbidden achievement |
| 11 | Kannir Belt | Sea of Energy achievement and route toward Kannir Sanctuary |
| 12 | Isaac Manor | Story location |
| 13 | Aphotic Marsh | 1.0 late-game region with black sludge and Silver Chain |
| 14 | Sealed Spire | Final area with Nagaraja prophecy and story conclusion context |
Use this as a backbone, not a rigid checklist. Fatal Claw’s Metroidvania structure expects revisits.
Act 1: Laboratory To Castle
Start in Origin Laboratory and learn the basics: Claw, Heal, Engraved Skills, Blink, and Carox. The opening area has sealed doors, so do not treat every blocked route as a missed secret. The pack confirms many movement tools arrive later.
Upper Origin Laboratory expands the first area upward. From there, Lower Moss Cave introduces water relevance and Jibanam context. The source pack ties Meditation of Jibanam to water traversal and the Water Cat achievement, but you should not assume every water route is solved immediately. Mark it with Carox and keep moving when the game points elsewhere.
Strigine Quarry is associated with wind updrafts and the Gale Warning achievement. Black Canyon follows as a darker route with mud and Imprint School context. Elord Castle then becomes a major hub. The pack notes a Stone Warp soft-lock in Upper Elord Castle was patched during Early Access, but the practical habit remains: activate local levers before warping.
Act 2: Tundra, Tenshukaku, Dungeon, Belt
Higasha Tundra marks the frozen biome and has a Frozen Boundary achievement. The 1.0.8 hotfix improved visibility in Higasha Tundra and Enma’s Labyrinth, so older player complaints may not describe the current build exactly.
Tenshukaku Interior branches from Higasha Tundra and belongs to Enma’s territory. Enma is described as the Golden Spirit Wolf with illusion sorcery, and Reien’s Covenant is a wolf-related Engraved Skill from the Early Access expansion notes. Wolf Gate is a story barrier before Tenshukaku Interior, so treat that step as a route check rather than a simple side room.
Jayma’s Dungeon carries the Prison of the Forbidden achievement. Kannir Belt carries the Sea of Energy achievement, and Kannir Sanctuary contains the Second Key of Hope. Isaac Manor is listed as a story location. This middle stretch is where your build should stop being generic. If a fight punishes basic Claw range, use the Fatal Claw Cabitz Builds page to reframe your setup.
Act 3: Marsh To Spire
Aphotic Marsh is 1.0 content. The pack describes it with black sludge and a figure who has endured alone for ages, stripped of strength. It also says Silver Chain is found here. That makes Aphotic Marsh a major late-game mobility checkpoint, not just another region.
Sealed Spire is the final area. The pack ties it to Nagaraja prophecy and the line about frozen claw sealing darkness and burning claw opening light. Dotiman warned Kisha not to recklessly open the Spire’s gates and venture to the surface. Do not rush into this final framing without checking unfinished route threads, especially if you care about achievements or postgame cleanup.
The Fatal Claw Endings Explained page covers the single ending structure, Stone of Narrative segments, and New Game Plus cycle notes.
Sanctuaries And Keys Of Hope
The source pack confirms three sanctuaries:
- Stone Sanctuary contains the First Key of Hope.
- Kannir Sanctuary contains the Second Key of Hope.
- Water Sanctuary contains the Third Key of Hope and requires Meditation of Jibanam.
These are not optional flavor notes. They are progression anchors. When your route stalls, ask whether you are missing a sanctuary requirement, a movement tool, or a story barrier.
Administering AZSR-01 to Nia requires that exactly two of the three sanctuaries are unsealed. Administering the cure after the third sanctuary is unsealed kills Nia. silver spelled this out in the Unable to administer Nia’s cure thread: cure her once the Second Key of Hope is in hand but before Water Sanctuary’s Third Key is collected. Holding the cure item with all three sanctuaries cleared will not offer a usable prompt — most players misread this as a dialogue bug.
Backtracking Checklist
Backtrack after real changes, not after every single room. Good triggers include acquiring Blink, Lyani’s Claws, Meditation of Jibanam, glide, wall climb, air dash, Silver Chain, a new Engraved Skill, or a Claw upgrade through Kannium. Carox helps track rooms, and the source pack says Carox has been patched since Early Access map issues.
For achievement cleanup, use Fatal Claw Achievements Guide before assuming the final boss ends all meaningful progression.
